When « economic » meets « ergonomic »

Always focused on the evolution of its markets, Monomatic, which techniques are today worldwide well-known in non-stop applications, pursues its development over the last months, with new unwinding and rewinding solutions perfectly adapted to the new economical constraints and developed along principles of manufacturing promoting once again the ergonomic aspect.

Based on a perfect control of techniques of nonstop unwinding and rewinding with cantilever shafts execution for cardboard and complexes applications, in particular with unwinders such as the “MS-BB” and “MS-BT” and more recently the unwinder “MS-VT” for high speed applications (up to 700 m/min), Monomatic widens its range of machines with the manufacturing of single station unwinders and rewinders, with manual splice sequence.

The latter born of the Monomatic range, unwinders and rewinders thus baptized “UDZ” and “URZ”, built for rolls having a maximum diameter of 1,85 m, widths up to 1,0 m, and for production speeds up to 400 m/min, present irrefutable advantages as well in term of machine accessibility, as on financial term.

Their rigid construction with cantilever shaft, including all motorized motions, allows a very great facility of reels frontal loading and unloading, with an operating through push buttons. In addition, the integration of AC motors guarantees a very high precision in the web tension regulation.

Based on known and optimized techniques, Monomatic proposes ergonomic and economic solutions, allowing significant reduction of costs of integration, for these unwinding and rewinding functions, when paper or cardboard applications with inline or offline processes can accept a fast stop of the line for the reel changing.

In non-stop version, with automatic splice sequence, Monomatic identically proposes a new generation of turret rewinders with shafts in cantilever execution, thus offering the same ergonomic advantages for the reels unloading.

" Short stop, fast run ! ”: innovation spirit of MONOMATIC

Monomatic, the specialist over 60 years in design and construction of non-stop unwinders and rewinders for printing, coating or laminating lines… is following its development by offering machines perfectly suitable for its customers’ performance requirements.

Already at the leading end of progress in the field of unwinders and rewinders for thin materials – with production and splicing speeds up to 1000 m/min for reels with diameters of 1,5 m and widths of 2 m or even more – Monomatic confirms its presence among the world leaders in the field of cardboard and laminates unwinding thanks to its newly developed unwinder MS VT, specially conceived for high speed printing lines.

This new unwinder, recently presented in preview at Drupa 2008 completes perfectly the existing unwinders range MS BB and BT (unwinders for reels with diameters of 1,85 m and widths up to 850 mm and for butt to butt splicing speeds up to 400 m/min) by meeting frequent requests for high speed machines able to reach speeds up to 600 m/min.

The unwinder MS VT, based on unwinding techniques which are totally mastered by the Monomatic teams, offers a new patented splicing device ensuring a splice sequence even shorter, and a reduced new reel preparation time.

Its compact and ergonomic construction, allowing an easy access for operator’s working, and its horizontal festoon, which grants very interesting space savings, are working this unwinder’s way up to first place in the high speed printing industry.

The MS VT unwinder is the concrete expression of the innovation spirit, which Monomatic has cultivated since its beginning and of its concern to propose technical solutions perfectly matching the customers’ needs, being for machinery manufacturers or end users.
